For their Woody campaign, TGI Friday’s created a fictional character with a very real mission. If Woody could get 500,000 fans on Facebook in 30 days, they would all get a free burger.

To aid Woody on his quest, TGI Friday’s created the perfect fan recruitment tool — a compatibility quiz no one in his or her right mind could fail. As long as you liked burgers, you were compatible with Woody. And who doesn’t like burgers?

Using state-of-the-art technology, including voice recognition, simulated webcam footage, and real-time phone cues, this revolutionary banner created the illusion of a one-on-one video chat with Woody.

Woody’s offbeat humor combined with disruptive placements on like-minded sites, including Funny or Die and College Humor, made this no-brainer compatibility quiz all the more effective.
